FCB Sneaker Drive – April 2017
Did you know there are over 12,000 children currently in Florida’s foster care? At FCB we’re very passionate about helping these children and the families that have taken on this calling. During April’s Child Abuse Prevention Month, FCB will be hosting a Sneaker Drive. We believe that children of all ages deserve a good pair of sneakers. It’s a simple thing that makes a world of difference in the life of a child. Starting today and ending April 28th, please support our efforts by visiting any FCB banking center during our hours of operation to drop off your donation of new sneakers. Sneakers for children of all ages are needed. The sneakers collected will then be donated to a community-based organization that supports children in foster care. So, run over to an FCB banking center TODAY with a new pair of sneakers to donate to a local child in foster care!
FCB Blue Day – April 28, 2017
We also invite you to join us for our 3rd Annual FCB Blue Day on Friday, April 28th. A day dedicated to the children. Please visit your nearest FCB banking center wearing blue (the color of child abuse prevention) for refreshments and complimentary giveaways while supplies last.
Thank you for your support as we bring awareness to this important cause!
The Year of the Child
In 2015, Florida Community Bank started a multi-point initiative aimed at helping the youngest and most vulnerable members of our community – children and teens. FCB employees were given opportunities throughout the year to give to selected foster care programs that specialize in helping teens thrive. Customers were also given the chance to donate through FCB’s Change for Change Campaign. By year’s end, donations totaled over $8,000.
FCB, with the help of its employees and customers, also ended 2015 with a series of donations to community-based Florida charities for the holidays. Donations included toys, Christmas trees, food, backpacks and teddy bears gathered at FCB banking centers during our 1st annual Teddy Bear Drive.
The Year of the Child was such a success, Florida Community Bank has extended this key philanthropic initiative into 2016. If you would like to donate to Change for Change, please reach out using the contact information below or stop by your banking center today to ask a representative for more information.
